Finally managed to book a flight between Casablanca to Dakhla in Sahara.
For some reason their webpage wont let me pay with my VISA debit card but once I got hold of a credit card it was no problem.
The reason for flying is pretty simple.
The same distance with bus would have taken me 30hrs and costed me approx 650 Moroccan Dirham which is about 58 Euros.
The flight will take me 2hrs and 15min and costs me 730 Moroccan Dirham = 65 Euros.
So I will not have to stress down to Agadir to take the bus to Dakhla but spend an extra day in Rabat and stay over the day in Casablanca.
I have yet to buy the flights back from Sahara to Europe though..
A little google map with the plan of my travels…
However they can always change once on the road.
The purpose of this site you most likely have figured out already by the name of it.
Yup, it is gonna be a blog about my travels.
Those of you who know me also knows I like to travel, a lot, and often to places where “regular” people wouldn’t wanna go.
So next upcoming trip is gonna take place between 21st December 2010 to 17th January 2011.
4 weeks that will be spent in Western Africa, through 5 countries, where 4 are recognized and one is occupied still.
The countries I will be passing through are Morocco, Western Sahara (Occupied by Morocco), Mauritania, Senegal and Gambia.
The thought is that I will be producing a video diary while on the road in Africa and post here, as I did when I was in Asia last year, this is also one of the reasons for this website.
